This was for sure a twist on the normal romance novel. It’s still pretty dark but it throws in some things that keep you on your toes. An enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrators did a great job. I went in blind to this story and was getting highly agitated with Kayla and then plot twist. This is a paranormal story but I would not say this is a romance.

Thought I knew what was happening in the book immediately and then 3/4 of the way through plot twist! Such a good read!
