2.5 stars. I dont really know how I feel about this book. I think I might have had too high of expectations for this book. I started to get tears in my eyes near the end, but barely, and they didn't fall at all. This book does convey a good message in it and the illustrations were great but it just didn't speak to me personally.

I wasn't expecting to be so moved by a teen novel. You can easily see the inevitable heartbreak that the main character will experience but it still doesn't prepare you for it when it finally does happen. This is a beautiful book about loss that will invariably make you recall your own life experiences. A sad but moving novel.
