After reading Release by Ness I figured I’d give this book a go. Little did I know it would crush me harder than I ever thought it would. Having had such similar experiences to Connor I felt intertwined with the story. If only a yew tree came wondering for me.

Es un libro bastante complejo, da bastante que pensar.
La vida de Conor no es una que le toca a todo el mundo a la vez. Pero si hay partes o emociones que le pasan a mucha gente por día y vemos como Conor, gracias al monstruo, va armando su historia.
Es bastante interesante como la historia se desenvuelve hasta el desenlace, como el monstruo tiene una gran influencia en la historia, una influencia muy necesaria que le da el papel de el verdadero personaje principal y dejando a Conor un poco de lado.
El libro da un ejemplo de como es la vida, de como uno debe vivir con lo que le toca. Por eso la frase que describiría este libro es: "UN VERDADERO EJEMPLO DE COMO ES LA VIDA"

I was warned that this book was tear-inducing yet I was still completely unprepared when it came to how absolutely heartbreaking this story truly was.
As someone who has a very close relationship with my Mum, and have witnessed the devastating progression of terminal diseases on loved ones, I was absolutely devastated for Conor. The final lines of the book - "Conor held tightly onto his mother. And by doing so, he could finally let her go." - were so beautiful, but were also devastatingly heartbreaking.
