Clearly functions better as a screenplay than a novel, although Cormac's weak points are better than some authors' strong points.
Chigurh is the best character. Moss and Bell feel more like plot devices at times. The end dream foreshadowing The Road is nice.

I read this in one short session plus one all afternoon session. I felt like I was being granted access to something very indulgent. And I was a glutton, gorging myself on every line, every word. The characters, the scenery, the tone...everything is pure perfection.
I watched half of the movie before reading this, so I had all the movie characters engraved in my mind but didn't know what was going to happen. I'm very glad that I didn't have a clue, but I would still recommend reading even if you have watched the whole movie. It's too good not to.
It takes very little to govern good people. Very little. And bad people can't be governed at all. Or if they could I never heard of it.

First McCarthy book and he’s so good at establishing a vibe. Just love the way this was written, it really just pulls you into the setting of the story
