This was a deep dive into investing and how to make the most of your investment plans which was extremely informative and interesting. Although I'm not quite at the investment part of my financial journey yet (hooray for being responsible and paying off past me's copious debts) I'm excited to come back to it in the future and there were still some very helpful nuggets of information that helped me now.

I wish I would have read this (along with JL Collin's The Simple Plan to Wealth, to which this would make a good complementary/companion reading) when I was in my 20s, but still there's some useful perspectives and advice to be found in here even if you are middle-aged, already married (and thus past the point of thinking about a pre-up), and childfree (though the chapter on planning for childcare even before you have any kids can be generalized to any medium-term financial goal). I like both her clear-eyed and practical stance ("the system is unfair and in many ways stacked against you, especially if you are a woman, so it's extra important to be strategic and understand how the game works") and her snarky voice.
