Well I suppose you've got to expect a book published in the 90's based on a topical comedy news show to feel a little dated. And no I don't mean to say it's especially shocking or offensive by modern standards (although there are a few moments)
It's sort of a nostalgic read, I only have the fuzziest idea of what was going on in the world in 1994 and i don't even recognise some of the public figures mentioned, but the layout reminds me of magazines and adverts of the time. As well as that it's a little time capsule, and it shows that while the jokes have changed, the same sort of news stories come round again and again.
Do comedy shows even make books like this anymore?
