I found this informative, but it was just a list of ways to change. So something  I found useful and some not so much as I already knew about them. However, I did like some of the homemade recipes, and it has definitely motivated me to make more of a change, especially in ways that i hadn't thought of.

This is a great starter book for anyone looking to reduce their waste. I bookmarked some pages i want to reference again, like how to store produce and gift ideas.

Good advice but already feels out dated. What about cradle to cradle and sourcing? It's hard because zero waste is very tangible while most other sustainability is not. I did enjoy the author's perspectives although I will probably not adopt all her practices.

This book certainly wasn’t revolutionary but it had a lot of great tips that I hope to incorporate into my lifestyle. I’d love a “zero waste during a pandemic” addition since many places aren’t allowing the use of personal dishes (reusable mugs/bottles being the big one) so being zero waste right now feels like an uphill battle. Someday I’ll be able to utilize the bulk of this book...

Useful tool. Wish it had some more advanced swaps and tips though. A lot of them were things I’ve already discovered through the start of my own Journey

3.5 stars, on the whole, a book filled with good advice. I will say that early on the writer encourages folks to pop into restaurants and try to buy bulk from them. As a veteran of many restaurant kitchens, I will say this is bad advice. Restaurant workers are mainly stressed, overworked and trying their best to get set up for meal service. I am pro zero waste and I would not be happy if I had this request at any point during my prep time. Aside of that, this book made me want to keep up with my personal attempts at lowering my consumption and waste!

I really enjoyed this book, I found a lot of the 101 bullet points to be easy to follow for just starting out on a zero waste transformation. I liked that there were options for the level of commitment to most bullet points and DIY recipes for those that feel ambitious enough to try it out. I am personally intrigued by making toothpaste powder but would have been intimidated by that a year ago.

Noted that more sources would have been helpful, I have done a fair amount of reading on the topic so I already knew the claims were valid but if you didn't do that research much of the background justification would be alarming.
