A very slow start, i nearly stopped reading the book and likely would have if it wasn’t for the fact I was reading it for our work book club. After about a third of the way through the book really picked up, it aims to weave four stories into one - with the Greek text seemingly clumsily added at times.
The end was a very satisfying reflection of how all the stories interlinked.

My main criticism is the problematic characterisation of Seymour as being autistic and a terrorist. In the uk this is an association we don’t have, but in America where it’s set I understand it’s a really common way of profiling terrorists when they may not actually be autistic. Making autistic persons seem cruel when they are actually more likely to be victims! It would have been good to see more positive neurodiversity in other areas of the book to counteract this.
