I enjoyed this book, but it definitely has been the Emily Henry book that took me the longest to get through.

this might be my new favorite emily henry book!! it was so much fun and such an easy read. i adored daphne, miles, and all of the side characters! besides their romance, i was genuinely interested in everything else going on with daphne’s read-a-thon and all the regulars at the places miles knew. just so so good!!

Yup. Emily Henry holds up. I always find myself wrapped up in the message of her books. She pairs the swoon worthy romance with reality and all humanity’s messed up little bits in a moving way. Every. Time.

This story was such an interesting plot, no matter how far fetched it was. But it’s tropes I love and challenges that cinch my heart.

The sarcasm didn’t hit quite as solidly as it could have, and the banter seemed to always be bantering… but it made me cry… so I forgive it.

Overall this was a good read. Light hearted and not too serious. I liked the relationship that was presented in the book. Although, the entire time I was reading this, I couldn’t help but think that Emily Henry likes to reuse tropes and it kind of made me think that she just writes the same book in different settings. Just my thoughts but doesn’t make it a bad book! But I probably won’t read another one of hers because of the repetition.

This was just as good as any Emily Henry for me-which is a good thing.  This probably comes in at #2 or #3 out of all her books.  The story begins with Daphne being dumped by her fiancé right before their wedding-for none other than his best friend, Petra.  This leads her to move in with Petra's ex, since they are both looking for roommates.  She soon learns a few things:  Miles is not who he appears to be, and Daphne isn't who she thought she was, either, because she had adapted herself to fit into her fiancé's world.  As usual, Emily Henry writes a sweet romance but also an emotional journey.  This one leans a little less on the romance than People We Meet on Vacation or Beach Read, and focuses a little more heavily on the other emotional aspects.
