i am sorry but no one will be able to convince me that emily henry didn’t spy on me when i was working at a library as a children’s librarian in northern michigan.

regardless of the MANY similarities between myself and daphne (profession, age, birth month, taste in children’s literature, and a (basically) single mom) i absolutely loved this book. it reminded me of some of my favorite places up north and some great memories and people from my year up there. the fact that miles is very much nick from new girls coded just made it even better. if you need a lighthearted but still full of feelings i highly suggest you pick this up!

Hehehe, another Emily Henry book to add to my collection. I truly love anything this woman puts out, and it feels like the literary resurgence of Rom Coms <3 I really loved the competitive aspects of this book, the entire jealousy games were *chefs kiss,* but there was just too many confounding character variables that made the main tension of the the two characters sometimes forgettable. They were always interrupted and by gosh I was about SICK of her Dad and his sister always crashing at their place! Let these two weirdos get freaky! Besides that, the setting in this book was magical, and really made me feel nostalgic for a place I've never been to. Defo top 3 fosho

Perfection, truly everything I could ever ask for in a romance book.
