Having read later books in the series, I wanted to read the first one. It did not disappoint. Much like her later books in the series, this book is well written with the perfect amount of spice.

I am so excited for this new series - Red Lips & White Lies! I love the characters in all these series and how they pop up and you keep getting to revisit with your favorites! Kenzie is back home and trying to figure out her life outside of her career. Nixon is all about hockey and looking at what he wants out of his career. Nixon and Kenzie end up in a situation with her new colleague. Nixon and Kenzie take us on a whirlwind adventure that has them pretending to date and explore their new connection that they both realize is between them. Now Kenzie and Nixon have to figure out if their fake relationship is worth fighting for or if they are better off friends. The hilarious banter, friend dynamics, and insane chemistry will have you devouring this book to see what happens between Kenzie and Nixon. I cannot wait for more of these characters in this new series!

 No tengo ni idea de por qué terminé de leer este libro. Siento que perdí mi tiempo en esto, en lugar de haber leído algo más interesante.

Este libro es un caos. Me abrumó la cantidad de personajes que la autora mencionó. Nunca supe quien estaba relacionado a quien y siempre que pensaba que no iba a aparecer nadie más, aparecía alguien nuevo. Entiendo que son todos los personajes de sus anteriores series, pero faltaría una nota o algo aclarando eso.

El romance fue un desastre. No sentí ninguna conexión entre los protagonistas. Sentí que como Mac y Nixon estaban ahí, bueno que sean pareja y ya. Fue una pareja sin química. Y odié el spice. Literal 90% de este libro es spice.

Igual voy a reconocer que hubo momentos donde sonreí un poco y algunas frases del libro me gustaron. Solo por eso le pongo esas dos estrellas.
