Good book and a fast read but ending seemed a little rushed
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book, this is my personal and truthful review.
Right from the beginning you are pulled into the familiar family of the Kingston’s and Sinclair’s. It’s like coming home.
Did I like this book, nope-I absolutely LOVED this book!!!! I devoured this book in a few hours. I couldn’t put it down!
I love the world that Bella has created.
The story between these characters is absolutely perfect. The fact that they knew each other in childhood then he decided to protect her/stand up for her and they decide to fake date. Perfection!
I cannot say enough about this book or any of the books in the other series before this one. A definite MUST READ!!!!

Kenzie is a doctor and has been focusing on her years of schooling. She hasn't had time to date or be in a serious relationship.
Nixon has had a crush on Kenzie for a long time and tells her that he will give her # lessons * in the bedroom. Kenzie and Nix have the best chemistry and there was no lack of steamy scenes.

The past couple books I’ve read from Bella Matthews have all hit the spot for me and this one was no different! I’m definitely going to be adding her to my list of go-to authors for me. Tempting brought some of the key components that I’ve come to love from Bella: feelings that had me falling for the characters and rooting for them, humor, and some filthy spice! If you’re looking for a book that can easily be devoured in one sitting, look no further!
Kenzie is a labor and delivery doctor, working long hours, frequently on call, and she’s spent years and years in school which has left her with very little time for a relationship. Nixon understands that he may have only another 5 or 6 years in his pro hockey career, and even though he’s secretly crushed on Kenzie since they were teens, he isn’t willing to divide his attention from hockey. Both characters prioritize their careers and neither one is looking for anything serious, but after they enter their friends with benefits arrangement, they both end up struggling to fight the deeper feelings that bloom between them.
I really ended up loving these two! I admired Kenzie's job and really felt for her in regards to the loss she'd faced in the past. And then there's Nixon. Phew! The dirty mouth on this man! He can teach me anything he wants, anytime

This is book one of a new series in the Kroydon Hills universe. Nixon and Mackenzie are the first couple. Nixon is a hockey player who just wants to focus on his career until he is too old to play anymore. Kenzie just recently moved back after her residency in Washington D.C. and is an ob-gyn now. When at the bar together a fake dating relationship ensues between Nix and Kenzie, after running into a creepy Dr. colleague of hers. Nixon has had a thing for Kenzie since they were teenagers, but she has serious issues resulting from losing her mother so young.
The best thing about these books is the huge entanglement of family and friends, the Kroydon Kronicles articles and the text message chains. You can't help but love every character and how fierce and protective they are of each other. Nix and Kenzie might have kind of just happened, but these were always destined to be. Love them together!

Read this after reading the second book in the series, because I got curious about Kenzie. It read it in a day, it was an easy read but I feel like things happened really fast! But that seems like the trend with Bella Matthews books I've read so far
Gosh nobody does a spicy sports romance like Bella.I’m so in love with Nixon and Kenzie’s story, I was sobbing in the best way. I’ve seen so many pieces of myself in Kenzie, and the strength and hard work we seen through out her story was so beautiful! And Nixon? He was so patient and he made sure to treat her like the strong, independent, but amazing woman she was… can I just mention THE HAIR WASHING? My favorite aftercare!! Lol now another swoony book boyfriend to add to the list!
