I needed a sports romance in my life. It was a quick read and was just what I was looking for. A solid 4⭐️.
I really enjoyed this book. I think Kenzie being a strong doctor that is focused on her career made me love her even more as a character. She had to go through so much as a child, and now she can be confident in who she is and how much love she is surrounded by. Nixon is the perfect romantic interest. He is also very focused on his career and knows what it takes to love someone, considering how much love he grew up with. Both characters feel that they have to prove themselves to their parents, but in different ways. Kenzie wants to show her mom that even though she is gone, Kenzie is doing what she can to make her proud. There are so many sweet moments in this book, between the two main characters and the other characters around them. There were a few inconsistencies that I noticed toward the end of the book, but they did not take away from the story. There are also so many characters now that I cannot remember who is who and what family they belong to, so I was a bit confused while reading. I know I can find a family tree at the beginning of the book, so that for sure helped.
With every book written by Bella Matthews, a new favorite MMC she has written comes into my life. Nixon Sinclair is absolutely everything! Him and Kenzie are such a great fit for each other. I couldn't put this book down. Highly recommend.

This book is sooo good! I only recently discovered Bella Mathew’s but im addicted. Her writing has a way of sucking you in. Mackenze and Nixon are just the sweetest together. I love their backstory of growing up together and how he’s always had a thing for her. Mackenze’s past is a little bit broken and she’s overcoming so much pain but she’s so strong. Nixon is like the biggest cinnamon roll when it comes to Mackenze. I love this book.
First I've read of Bella Matthews and seems I've missed out on a lot of stories! Mac and Nix have known each other since middle school and both are very career oriented. When a fake date turns into "lessons" is there possibility to make it real? This was a good story with some great storylines. The banter between the girls was hilarious and the scene with Leo and the apple was priceless!! Mac definitely knows how to handle herself! With all of the side characters I definitely want to read more of these families!
