Kenzie is a doctor who came home to work under her aunt as an on/gyn and Nixon is a hockey player. They also have known each other since they were teenagers and Kenzie is best friends with Nixon’s twin sisters. There is fake dating and teach me in this book. Which hands downs have all my favorite things to be included in a book. It was very refreshing reading about their bond and exciting reading as well as hitting all the different points in their relationship. I can guarantee it is a quick read because you get so involved in the book and before you know it, it’s the end and are counting down the days for the next book.
Bella Matthews truly knocked another book out of the park and she will forever be an author that her books are automatic reads.

This is the second book I’ve read from Bella and the second book that convinced me to read all her books! I need to read everything by Bella since two books written by her made me want to know more!
Let’s get into Kenzie’s and Nixon’s story. These two are childhood friends and neighbors. Let’s say one of them has a crush on the other and we get the perfect friends to lovers story.
I loved sooo much how protective and helpful Nixon was with Kenzie. I wasn’t expecting him, that’s for sure! At first I was a little worried, but if someone can make a great male character that’s Bella! They are so cute together! And Kenzie has such a great personality! Her battles and past are just bringing the best out of her and I like that! I like how she just keeps going!
Overall it was a great reading and I loved it!😍

This was a fun, quick, easy read. Nixon is your favorite protective nice guy with a filthy mouth, and Kenzie is a smart, sassy, independent FMC. Their chemistry is palpable, and watching them fall in love was a fun time.

Tempting is the first book in the Red Lips and White Lies series, which are second-generation books in the Kroyden Hills universe. This features Mackenzie and Nixon. They agree to fake date because Kenzie’s boss gives her the creeps and Nixon is nearby. These two have known each other since they were kids and Nixon has had a crush on Kenzie just as long. Through their fake dating, Kenzie admits that she doesn’t have much experience in the bedroom. Nixon agrees to be her teacher and give her spicy lessons. The problem, there is a whole lot of family involved! Nixon’s twin sisters are Mackenzie’s best friends and Mackenzie’s brother is the team captain of Nixon’s hockey team. Can everyone accept their budding feelings for each other? Can Kenzie trust herself to love and let someone in?
I loved Kenzie and Nixon. Nixon was such a spicy, sweet-talking man, who was head over heels for Kenzie. Kenzie wasn’t sure about letting Nixon in, and it took a bit for her to open her heart to letting someone else in. Losing her mom at a young age put her through the wringer and she fears letting others in and them leaving. Kenzie and Nixon were HOT together, I loved the exploration of their relationship and how well they worked together. One thing I would have liked is more tension with the overbearing boss, and having it be more of a big deal. I adored the development of Kenzie and Nixon’s relationship and both of them working out demanding careers and neither having to give up their dreams.
One of my favourite things about Bella Matthews’ books is her writing about found family. I have read many of these characters throughout her various series and I love every one of the characters. I love the group texts between Kenzie and the girls, and Nixon and the guys.
I devoured this book, it was so good! Bella Matthews writes characters so well, you love them and feel like you are part of their friend group. I cannot wait to read more books in the Red Lips and White Lies series and get more of these awesome second-generation stories! Thank you to the author for a copy of this book. First things first this book is SPICYYY!!! Nixon Sinclair is dirty and we love it.
Kenzie and Nixon’s story started with fake dating and basically EVERYONE saw right through that and didn’t believe it was fake at all except the two lovers. Kenzie’s character development was so good. She’s afraid to let people and it was absolutely beautiful to see her slowly grow and trust Nixon, he was so patient with her and the way he loves her… I’m swooning.
This was such a cute and easy to read book and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.
