This book was beautiful. I love the writing loved everything except the sexual content and the profanity but wow does Emily Henry know how to write a story.

I loved going through Daphne and Miles lives and seeing how they both started off so heartbroken and seeing how the blossomed and grew into people who eventually faced their fears, chose to hope instead of despair and chose to allow their negative emotions to show and trust how you're feeling and use that as a stepping stool not a dagger.

EmHen has done it again! She creates these rom com plots and the twist is that they are incredibly real and vulnerable portrayals of moving forward and taking control of your life. Both characters had valid thoughts and feelings regarding their life experiences and I really enjoyed how everything played out. I laughed, I cried, good stuff

This was the exact palate cleanser I needed. I never thought of myself as a romance reader but damn is Emily Henry possibly changing that for me. The depth she builds for her characters in incredible. It’s not just the romance. It’s the heartbreak, friendships, trauma, family, inner demons, love and hate. This book was so well built and worth the several months wait on my Libby holds.

Sweet romance.  Not my favorite of Emily Henry’s books, but a very enjoyable read.  Loved the characters, as always.  Audiobook was expertly narrated, as usual.
