I enjoyed EH writing style. It feels like a fun recount by a friend over dinner. Miles and Daphne are forced together but end up bonding through shared experiences and intimacy. While nothing much happens plot wise outside the relationship, I still enjoyed the story as they grew together.
Moderate: Sexual content, Gaslighting

My favorite Emily Henry book so far. She has a way in creating hilarious scenes and dynamic side characters. I also appreciate how she fleshed out Miles & Daphne to be human. One should always have a friend like Ashley and keep some chapstick on hand.

Attempted for book club.
- very slow
- fake dating trope didn’t make sense since everyone knew it was fake ?
- first person present tense
- new age trope of a featureless, personality-less FMC designed for the readers to project themselves into so that they can imagine Miles loving them
- their wit and banter was too similar and also obnoxious
- good representation of daddy issues though
- very slow in the beginning
- s/o to northern Michigan though
- how does a female author manage to fail at writing a woman character
- I didn’t finish in time partly because I was afraid to be seen reading it on the bus
- sex scene was meh
