I read this book in three sittings and i really enjoyed it! I don’t typically read romance, but this is the second one and i could see myself reading more! (both were Emily Henry, the first was Book Lovers)

I also get scared that I won’t be able to relate to the characters in these types of books, but I’m 21 and found a lot in common with the 30 y.o. characters! (friendship and relationship wise)

Not a big deal, but I did notice that “chortle” and “sidelong” were used quite frequently. It made me giggle seeing that the author has specific words they keep coming back to, but it can be a turnoff.

Overall, an epic book. I plan to read more of Emily Henry in the future! :D

Die Kennenlern-Geschichte von Daphne und Miles hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Zwei Menschen mit Ecken und Kanten von denen keiner perfekt ist. Die verworrene Geschichte beginnt damit, dass sich Daphnes Verlobter am Abend des Junggesellenabschieds von ihr trennt, um mit seiner Kindergarten Freundin Petra durchzubrennen. Da Daphne nicht weiß wohin, kommt sie notgedrungen in der Wohnung von Petras Ex Miles unter, der auch unter der plötzlichen Trennung zu leiden hat.

Endlich mal eine Grumpy-Sunshine Romanze bei der die Frau, die etwas pessimistische und der Mann der Sonnenschein ist.

Auch als Hörbuch sehr zu empfehlen 👌🏻

I enjoyed this book more than Happy Place. The premises were amusing and the characters were enjoyable. Being from Michigan, I love picturing the summer in Northern Michigan as the setting. It's a classic kind of Rom-Com. It had a great cast of supporting characters, which filled it out and made it more interesting. After listening to the audiobook my biggest criticism is the overuse of the word chorlted.
