Trust Emily Henry to come up with the craziest plotlines! Loved it – make this a movie NOW!

Very fun and cutesy with the small-town librarian vibe – literally dream life???

I liked that

their connection was based on chemistry and beginning something new rather than the 'and they lived happily ever after' trope

. It felt very realistic and grown-up!

Attempted for book club.

- very slow
- fake dating trope didn’t make sense since everyone knew it was fake ? 
- first person present tense
- new age trope of a featureless, personality-less FMC designed for the readers to project themselves into so that they can imagine Miles loving them
- their wit and banter was too similar and also obnoxious
- good representation of daddy issues though
- very slow in the beginning
- s/o to northern Michigan though
- how does a female author manage to fail at writing a woman character
- I didn’t finish in time partly because I was afraid to be seen reading it on the bus
- sex scene was meh
