Cheesy and too many quips sometimes in the writing but an addictive read and also some very spicy content.

So far this is my favourite book by this author!

I’m a sucker for fake dating. And what a great meet cute. But also there were several times my jaw dropped or I literally laughed out loud so I feel it’s a feel good story.

This book is the typical fluff I love to read. I enjoyed the general storyline but felt it wasn’t as good as it could’ve been. Daphne surprised me
when she continued to trust her Father, even after he’d let her down so many times. I found this a bit out of character for someone who was depicted as an untrusting, “closed-book”.
Additionally, I was REALLY hoping the readers would get to experience
Daphne and Miles attending Peter and Petra’s wedding together. I think the author should’ve had included that before the blow up of Petra/Peter… perhaps it could’ve been their engagement party rather than the wedding
. A redeeming part of this book were the friendships. I enjoyed seeing how
Daphne, Ashleigh, Julia, and some of the other side characters
created a little community together.

I read this book in three sittings and i really enjoyed it! I don’t typically read romance, but this is the second one and i could see myself reading more! (both were Emily Henry, the first was Book Lovers)

I also get scared that I won’t be able to relate to the characters in these types of books, but I’m 21 and found a lot in common with the 30 y.o. characters! (friendship and relationship wise)

Not a big deal, but I did notice that “chortle” and “sidelong” were used quite frequently. It made me giggle seeing that the author has specific words they keep coming back to, but it can be a turnoff.

Overall, an epic book. I plan to read more of Emily Henry in the future! :D
