My first Emily Henry book, and definitely won’t be my last !! Really enjoyed her narrative voice, humour, and sense of reality, helping to make this the most enjoyable and well-rounded romance I’ve picked up since I’m not even sure when.

I loved the characters, how they interacted and developed with each other, and didn’t feel as though the main couple getting together was rushed (one of my usual gripes with romance ngl). Also, as someone who doesn’t enjoy over-the-top spice, I was glad to find a book I felt comfortable reading at work for once lmao. Thank you, Ms Henry 🫡

It was exactly fine. I liked the conceit and I liked the characters well enough. I think I just personally need a bit more tension and conflict that’s not just characters being bad at communication. Idk, honestly hoped for better but maybe I’m actually really not a straight up romance reader.
