I would have given this book 5/5 stars but there were some parts of it, that just lost my interest a little bit. Like I would have to go back and read it because I seemed to skip over it a bit. I loved the part of her writing to someone and receiving letters back. That was amazing and the writing in those sections was so well done. Other parts though, I didn't seem to think so.

Yet another Kasie West book that has me smiling like crazy. I will admit that I wasn't a super huge fan of the relationship that I could see happening at first... but boy did it/he ever grow on me.

Silly Side Note: I couldn't help but picture Lucas as Lucas Scott from One Tree Hill.

SPOILERS AHEAD KINDA XD

Cade. Holy moly that boy needs some loving. Like I said, I wasn't really a big fan of him daiting Izy and that history. I was afraid that this was going to be another classic "bad-boy does horrid things to the girl but oh look now they're in love and forgot all about the abuse" but boy was I proven wrong.

Although, some of the things that were done were pretty serious, Kasie actually had the two characters discuss them and explain why things happened which made me quite happy.

Lilly was adorable and as awkward as I am so it was really easy to relate with her.

Overall, I started out super hyped about the lyric writting aspect, then got disappointed by the hinting of an otp that I didn't like at all, to be totally blown away with how things turned around and how much character development happened between the two. Just goes to show how guarded we have all become and that sometimes we just need to open up a little and communicate.

I absolutely loved this book! While it was cheesy and predictable, it was so much fun! Once I really started to get into it I just couldn't put it down!

For some reason I have no idea how Kasie West does not run out of ideas for spectacular and swoon worthy books. And I mean, literally every single one of her books are all equally amazing.
I don't know what her secret is, but I totally admire this author for making such awesome books that never fail to make me smile.

I look at this book as a BETTER, WAY LESS BORING AND BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN VERSION OF TATBILB. Yes, my friends, this book is sooo much better than to all the boys. Why? well, mostly because I don't get bored from every single page I read. Kasie West has this unique quality that sets her aside from most young adult authors. She basically creates these characters that are so real and well interpreted that I get sucked into this life that she creates. Whenever I want a feel-good, light, contemporary novel, I trust Kasie to make my life less miserable even for just a few hours.

Okay so going on with the book, I loovee the characters. Lily is so hilarious and clueless at most times but I love her. I wouldn't say that she's my favorite female character that Kasie made, but I really like her. Next we have Cade, who I absolutely adore, a more mature and funnier version of Peter Kavinsky. I love him.
Even though I somehow disliked the fact that it took too long for something to actually happen between them, and also the fact that I kinda found this book very predictable, I still love it.

P.S. Literally every book Kasie makes deserves a movie. Ugh.

Woaaah! A cover not featuring headless people. Hehe. Ever notice that Kasie West's contemporary books have headless people as their cover? Lol.

I've read this book twice now and I absolutely love it. Sure it may be cliché with the nerdy main character and the hot, rude guy that is "out of her league" but I think it is well written. This book is really enticing with the story line. While reading this book, you will laugh, get frustrated, etcetera. But, it all works out in the end. If you like clichés, then read it. If you don't, well, I don't know what to tell you besides that you're missing out on a well written romance.

Predictable and a bit cheesy, but cute and clean.
