This book made me emotional and uncomfortable but it was kind of interesting albeit very weird and unlike anything I have read before. I didn’t know what I was getting in to but I powered through since it’s relatively short. There are some very profound lines that resonated with me but I don’t think I could read even one more page by the end it was sheer will that got me to finish reading. Very very literary and obscure.

Great book, but I find the main character unlikeable and kind of creepy. Almost all the the characters are unlikeable besides Tony in my opinion. The book is very slow paced but packed with a lot of detail. With that being said, I prefer my books to be not as slow paced as this one. And all the detail in the writing was impressive, but sometimes I felt like it was too much fluff. I’d like to rant more but unfortunately that would include spoilers. Don’t get me wrong though, I’d still recommend this book.

I hate this, Jeffers.

Maybe I would have liked it better had I only read this and not listened to it, but I can't sustain enough interest to focus on it, and when I do, I get annoyed every time the I-narrator addresses Jeffers. I stopped after the complaint and the bedsheets and had no patience for the dialogue or how I'm not at all vibing with the audiobook narration. I noticed myself slipping into hate-reading and I've got too many other books I want to read to waste my time with this one.
