I was shocked to realize how little I remember of this book, from when I read it a million years ago. I must have been a much more impressionable reader then, because this book was D-U-L-L. It had a gratingly slow pace, minimal character depth or development, and I found what little did happen was outlandish and ridiculous, and not in the way that fiction is supposed to be outlandish and ridiculous.

I will of course continue with the series, but this book simply was not good. I don't recommend this book.

The Face On The Milk Carton had an intriguing front which made me want to know what the story was. The synopsis on the back intrigued me just as much. The story itself was fine, but I feel like it could have been better. All the characters could use some more depth. This story could have been great but some storylines should have been fleshed out and some more flashbacks could have build a better and more believable foundation. All in all this was a bit of a let down and I won't continue reading the series.

The unsatisfying ending is what lowered the book from four or five stars to three.

I enjoyed this book. The writing was good and the story kept me wanting more. I will be reading the next book I want to know what happens.

I read this so long ago! A good read, I remember.
