"Robert leans in close to her, so his face is just inches from hers. “Well, it was probably one of us,” he says icily, “and you don’t know which one. I guess you have a problem, don’t you?”'

•Shari Lapena has effortless writing and an easy read. Kept my attention throughout, wouldn’t skip but would not read again. Cozy Mystery is how I would describe it best.

3 stars only because this is not my type of book. I found this based on two weak premises, first that the mother would actually write those apology letters and second that a neighbour who received one would traipse around the entire neighbourhood trying to find the writer.....If you liked Big Little Lies then you will probably enjoy this.
