Finally back at that wonderfull world. Thought the storyline was a bit bar sought, but the characters are amazing as always <3

The Iron Raven is the first book in the new spin-off series, The Iron Fey: Evenfall. I am part of the blog tour hosted by the publisher (InkYard Press) so I received this eARC through NetGalley and the publishers in exchange for promotion and an honest review. Now, onto the review.
The Iron Raven is like jumping right back into the world of the Iron Fey that I know and love (I reread all the previous books in anticipation for this one). Kagawa continues with her ability to provide vivid imagery and a stunning world. I love that with each new Iron Fey story, we get to see familiar creatures, but there are also new creatures that are fascinating. I just genuinely love all of the myths that Kagawa has managed to add to this book (and series). I’m very intrigued to see where this story is going and what the secrets behind the Big Bad are.
Puck, also known as Robin Goodfellow, is the main character for this book (and I assume the Evenfall series). I was really excited for Puck to finally have his own series. He’s always been one of my favorites. His storyline is interesting. We get to see the Puck we know and love, but we also get to see the Puck of legends, the Robin Goodfellow whose pranks bordered on cruel. Puck has an inner struggle in this story that was very compelling. I’m definitely interested to see how the rest of this series will play out.
We get to see new characters, like my favorite Nyx, and some old ones as well. We see Kierran, Meghan, and Ash, as well as some other minor characters. I really liked Nyx. I’m dying to know more about her past. I think it was really interesting to have someone that doesn’t know any of the stories about Puck. I liked the bits with Kierran and I did enjoy seeing the whole gang together again, but I sort of wish that it has less of the characters we already knew (aside from Puck of course). I wouldn’t say that I disliked the whole squad being back, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if this had been a new adventure that didn’t need Meghan to come to save the day.
Overall, I still really enjoy this. I’m mostly a fan of authors coming back to their old series and continuing them. Kagawa’s writing is still excellent. With vivid world-building, fascinating creatures and mythology, and characters I already loved, I think many people will love this book.

My hopes were too high for this one. Puck was my favourite character in the first series, but unfortunately this book felt untrue to his character. Specifically regarding the fact that he falls in love at first sight... I wanted to love it, I really did, but it left me sadly rather disappointed.

The Iron Raven was a spin off from Iron Fey series. This book tells a story about Puck and I believe this book was a continuation from the original series. I was very excited to read this one since I've heard nothing but good reviews from the original series. The romance was okay. Nyx was interesting enough.

What I love:
- Puck was amazing. He was so charming and funny. I truly fell in love with him.
- The world building was amazing. I love to see all kinds of different faes.
- The story was face paced and full of actions.

What I didn't really like:
- It was to repetitive. I felt like I'm reading the same thing all over again.
- Not enough of the story? The story was build up but then nothing happened so it was quite disappointing.

I'm still thinking whether I'm going to continue with the series or not!
Would recommend this if you like fantasy and fae!

Massive thank you to @times.reads and @putrifariza for the ARC copy

I gotta say this is probably my favorite book out of the Iron Fey series—minus the second installment that’s about Megan’s brother. But seeing Megan’s growth and no longer a very annoying, immature “queen” I’m more tempted than ever to read the series. If anything so I can get to know Megan and Ash’s son Keirran better. Speaking of Megan and Ash, it was so good seeing my favorite ice-boy again! ;) I still stand by the fact that Puck and Ash is the real enemies to lovers ship here.

Anyway, I loved this book. It was everything I wanted for Puck. At first I was annoyed that he was still holding a grudge over Ash after everything they’d been through, but there’s more to it than Puck simply being a ‘sore loser’. If anything the darkness responsible for pulling out those buried feelings shows the complexity of Puck’s character. A side we only caught glimpses of in previous books. Nyx was wonderful, too, and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect love interest for Puck.

I know his story has only just begun, and there’s a lot at stake as another prophecy shines light on a new threat to the Nevernever. That cliffhanger ending leaves you wanting the next book right away and I’m dying to know what happens next!!

Thank you to Harlequin Aus for sending me a review copy of this book; this review is voluntary, all thoughts and opinions within the review are entirely my own.

This was a nostalgia hit and a half and I loved every second of it, Kagawa’s writing and the world she has constructed is truly addicting. In classic Iron Fey fashion, the fate of everything is at stake and our main characters have to go on a quest to stop it. I loved getting insight into Puck’s character, gaining insight into his thoughts and memories provided more dimension and complexity into a character that prior to this we hadn’t understood entirely. I also loved seeing a more mature and strong Meghan as the Iron Queen, it was nice to see how much she had grown into her role. And ASH as Meghan’s consort :.) it was so beautiful. Nyx was an interesting addition to the classic trio, and she provided a nice aspect to the group. Grimalkin was as always, his moody and morally grey self. Overall, I really loved this book. The only downside was that some parts felt a little rushed. I can’t wait for the next one! Also disclaimer: You don’t need to have read the original iron fey series to understand what is happening, but it does help.
