i ate that shit up und war von anfang bis ende entertained, ABER

alle charaktere waren insane in their head. literally insane. allen voran rory und angelo, die beiden waren wirklich cray cray und in jedem kapitel habe ich mich gefragt, wieso sie tun, was sie tun???

rorys bird-puns (WHY WOULD YOU SAY „FLAMINGO“ instead of „fuck“ 😭) waren weird, aber nicht mal ansatzweise das schlimmste. her obsession with her „sins“ and „being a bad girl“ hat mich fertig gemacht. FERTIG GEMACHT. „angelo und ich sind dieselbe person, we are „bad people““ GIRL?!?!? er bringt 183764829293 leute pro tag random um und du hast mal an nem auto mit nem schlüssel gekratzt und in nen whiskey gespuckt, „THE DARKNESS INSIDE OF YOU“ is NOT the same!!!! RUN and DUCK FOR COVER!!!!!!!!

angelo war einfach nur unhinged. ngl he was hot, but what was bro even doing??

irgendwie haben sich die beiden aber auch verdient und dafür gibt es von mir 3 sterne. ich war entertained, geschockt von den handlungen (leider nicht von den eigentlichen plottwists) und würde die folgebücher evt auch lesen.

I really enjoyed this book, but the main character, Aurora “Rory”, would occasionally make me cringe with the things she said and her “bird curses” annoyed me to all hell. Other than that, I have no complaints

This was straight hot garbage that I read for guilty pleasure. From writing style to the plot, things made little sense to me and there was a lot of unnecessary drama and plot holes.

First let's get into the heroine, who's the dumbest person I've ever read about. She wasn't very likeable and had a quirky ass personality with the constant bird puns. She makes

certain decisions like signing away her life to a 70-yr-old fat creep without researching and is effectively a damsel in distress.

The hero isn't any better too with the specific flaws in the writing style. The only redeemable part of this book was the smut.

I sat down and really pondered what to rate this book. The rating might change.... it might stay the same. Idk.

I did not particularly enjoy the first 60-70% of this book. It wasn't bad but idk I spent a good portion of it mentally telling Rory she's a victim and needs to somehow magically get out of her situation.

The last 30% tho... ate that shit up like I get what the dark romance girls love . . . A Lil bit.

I wanted to make this a 3 star so bad but like the handful of references that she's young enough to be his daughter, and other things did not sit right with me.

Somehow Angelo is simultaneously a horrible man and yet no one is doing it like him.

This book did achieve something tho, the fact that I'm conflicted on how to rate is proof enough because it's not bad enough to deserve anything less than a 3 but it's not good enough to sit with my other 3 stars yk.

I had a time in those last percentages so maybe I'll just rate that and give it a nice 2.75. . Maybe
