This was actually quite funny for a mafia romance and I really enjoyed the voice actors. I felt very immersed in the story.

This book was a good time! Read it across plane rides and visiting for the holidays. It was a nice little distraction novel and it was really entertaining and fun. The only things bringing it down were my frustrations with Angelo and Rory not communicating, and Angleo always assuming the worst of Rory when she didn't deserve that at all.

i ate that shit up und war von anfang bis ende entertained, ABER

alle charaktere waren insane in their head. literally insane. allen voran rory und angelo, die beiden waren wirklich cray cray und in jedem kapitel habe ich mich gefragt, wieso sie tun, was sie tun???

rorys bird-puns (WHY WOULD YOU SAY „FLAMINGO“ instead of „fuck“ 😭) waren weird, aber nicht mal ansatzweise das schlimmste. her obsession with her „sins“ and „being a bad girl“ hat mich fertig gemacht. FERTIG GEMACHT. „angelo und ich sind dieselbe person, we are „bad people““ GIRL?!?!? er bringt 183764829293 leute pro tag random um und du hast mal an nem auto mit nem schlüssel gekratzt und in nen whiskey gespuckt, „THE DARKNESS INSIDE OF YOU“ is NOT the same!!!! RUN and DUCK FOR COVER!!!!!!!!

angelo war einfach nur unhinged. ngl he was hot, but what was bro even doing??

er spürt JEDEN MANN AUF, der rory jemals belästigt hat und bringt ihn um, aber als sein ekelhafter onkel sie besoffen vergewaltigen will, geht er weg (?????) und JAGT SEIN AUTO VOR WUT IN DIE LUFT SORRY WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS????

die ganze zeit EIN OVERPROTECTIVE MENACE, aber bei seiner hochzeit, bei der einfach alles sus ist „meine verstorbene mami sendet mir damit zeichen 🥺“

als er random den typen erschossen hat, der seine mutter AUF AUFTRAG getötet hat, ohne mal zu fragen, was die hintergründe waren (take the gun away from this man) und rory das HOT fand (?), die beiden dann rumgemacht haben, nachdem er die klippe runterfiel??

„our darkness is the same“ NEIN YOUR INSANITY IS THE SAME, you both are literally crazy??

irgendwie haben sich die beiden aber auch verdient und dafür gibt es von mir 3 sterne. ich war entertained, geschockt von den handlungen (leider nicht von den eigentlichen plottwists) und würde die folgebücher evt auch lesen.
