I’m so picky with rating mafia books highly because the majority of the time I feel like authors always fall short on writing a realistic alpha mafia mmc. However, Angelo? He was written so deliciously grumpy and dangerous and I loved it.
The author didn’t just tell us this man was Vicious, she SHOWED us he was with his constant ruthlessness. Watching him fall for the one woman he can’t have and seeing him fight against it with his psychotic internal monologue was perfect.
This is the definition of a man with a dark heart who will literally go to war to protect the woman he loves and do it with a calm face.
I can’t wait to continue this series, I have a feeling the next books are going to be even better!

this is one of the handful of books where i've made it to the end and felt completely satisfied with the ending. i finished this in a day and i'm so glad i binged it because i literally could not put it down!!
it's almost embarrassing how much i love 'made men' books but recently it seems like that's the majority of the recommendations i get. everything in this story, from beginning to end was perfect. the only think i would say i wished for was that when Angelo killed the guy who killed him mom that he had Rafe and Gabe there with him (but that wasn't a necessity, just something i thought about).
Alfredo is a gross son of a bitch and i'm glad he's dead. he was legitimately fucking disgusting and anytime he laid a hand on Rory i whole body cringed. he deserved more than a bullet to the head and Dante? he was pissy the whole book when he could've been trying to form a plan to get his father out of the picture instead of being mad at the world all the time. like, what did Rory do to you dude? maybe he needs to get laid idk. and MAX he was like a pervy middle school kid but i lowkey was so sad when he died. i didn't miss him, but he was Rory's friend (in a way). i just wish he wasn't such a creep cause his character could've been amazing to have so Rory could have a man she could actually trust in that fucking dungeon.
made man aside, DONATELLO WAS SO FUCKING CUTE. he was the only legitimate clean man? sorta. i'm glad he wasn't anything like Tor and Dante because i couldn't see Amelia with anyone like that. those nerds compliment each other and it's adorable (Angelo sparing him because he actually liked him was a major W and i was so happy).
i plan to finish all the books in this series before Wednesday of this week and my fall semester of classes just ended so i have nothing but time.

The further I got in this book, the harder it was for me to put it down. Rory and her sassy mouth is perfect for Angelo and his vicious ways. The church scene was oh so hot and their chemistry had me sweating. I loved that Angelo was bad yet oh so good. The cliffhanger at the end guarantees you will read the next book. I can't wait to find out what happens!
I was entertained, I had a good time, not all the time
idc what anyone says, I LOVE ANGELO VISCONTI. that’s it and that’s all.
3 ⭐️
Angelo and Aurora together were hot and filled with tension. Every time they shared a sin to each other they had me going crazy. Definitely my favorite part of the book. This has to be the slowest burn I’ve read in a mafia book.
“Out of all my sins, you’re my favorite.”
Angelo, Rafe, Gabe are the definition of ride or die brothers. Their bond was amazing to read. Can’t wait for Rafe and Gabe’s book. I still can’t tell who’s going to be my fav. I have a feeling it’ll be Rafe because he has that humor with dark vibes. Gabe is definitely super unhinged, quiet and mysterious I’m curious about him as well.
there were similarities to the TSO I couldn’t ignore
The biggest similarities
1. The lunch scene where Angelo shot Max
2. Party scene where they both stepped out to smoke.
3. The counter scene
