X-men meets Treasure Island with a Christian worldview. So, very good-my favorite Wilson novel so far.

This had a ridiculously slow start and just didn't feel very original or interesting to me on the whole. I guess it's hard to compete with Harry Potter. My son is interested in reading book two, but I've told him he'll have to read it to himself (this has been our family read).

It makes me sad that more people don't realize this book is a re-telling of Treasure Island. Knowing that made reading it much more exciting.
I'm a huge fan of the 100 Cupboards trilogy, so I had high expectations for The Dragon's Tooth, and it did not disappoint! Wilson's world is exciting and easy to visualize, and his characters believable. Perhaps my favorite thing about Wilson's writing is that as someone who grew up in Small Town, USA (in the same state as the author, no less!), I find it MUCH easier to relate to his stories than, say, Percy Jackson. I highly recommend this book, especially to those who have read 100 Cupboards.

Nonstop action and an intriguing story with great characters. Looking forward to the next book.

N.D. Wilson has created another decent adventure series. The characters are stark and vivid with just enough mystery to keep young readers on their toes. I will definitely be reading the next one in the series.

This was a fun adventure. The pacing was good, and the characters were varied and developed well as the book progressed.

The only sad part about this book is my realization that the fourth and final book has not been published. It's not impossible but I don't see indications of that shifting. My understanding is that the part of the reason for its lack of publication is that the author had major health issues. It looks like part of the last book was released chapter by chapter but even that was not completed.

If this series gets finished, I'll happily read it and share with others. For now, I need to tell myself the story stops here.

This was a really difficult book to listen to. It jumped around a lot and got more confusing during the action scenes. A lot of stuff just didn't make sense, and it didn't flow smoothly. Harry Potter wannabe book, not nearly as good.

Great introduction. Wish I had this book when I was a kid.
