y’all let me just jump into this. my bbg allie? i love her. she is literally one of the strongest main characters you will ever meet. ngl i finished the book just because of her.

dean was literally my bae until like the last hmmmm 10%. i hold grudges so fresh out of the book sure i have a place in my heart for dean but i feel a bit hurt.

the side characters and i were attached at the hip. ALLIES DAD? THATS MY HOMIE BRO. i literally learned so much from that man it’s crazy. like he genuinely made me think and feel safe. i love that man. also in this book my respect for garrett just increased.

sean can jump off a cliff. like actually idc. if anyone deserves hate it’s this man.

but yeah 88% of this book is literally smutt but the characters are fun and enjoyable. i love dean and allie’s relationship <3

Me 70% into the book: I wonder what the third act conflict is going to be.
Me when the third act conflict happens: aw hell no

Idk I didn’t like it much. There were times when I thought the couple was cute but as a person who’s more invested in romance than in sex/smut, I just wasn’t feeling it.

I swear this series is like candy to me, I eat these books up so quickly! Although this has been the spiciest book in the series thus far in my opinion, it was my least favorite romance. I unfortunately didn't completely love Allie and Dean as a couple (apart from their palpable physical chemistry), but they are HILARIOUS. I kind of wish that
Dean and Allie didn't end up together in the end. I know that's probably an unpopular opinion, but I loved the idea of them just being friends with benefits. They would've still been capable with learning from each other and growing as individuals without the pressure of being in a relationship by the end.

The main reason that I ended up giving this one 3.5 stars is because it felt as though Elle Kennedy was throwing the most ridiculous conflicts at the end to give the characters more depth. There were multiple times at the end when I put the book down and laughed, not because the situation was particularly funny, but just because I was so flabbergasted by the huge downer at the end when the first 80% was lighthearted and sexy. I also appreciated the character growth that Elle Kennedy attempted to display, specifically with Allie, but it didn't pack as much of a punch due to my feelings on the spoiler I mentioned above.

All in all I'm still having a fabulous time with this series and can't wait to pick up the next one!

Spoiler-Free Review:

Dean. That’s it. That’s my review. One word… Dean. Not really, but y’all I think this might be my favorite of the three books that I’ve read! A drunken one-night stand turns a wild party boy into a romantic. I found that this book was spicier than the others and that the spicy scenes were definitely more frequent. Allie is a confident main character who is trying to find herself after exiting a four year relationship. Dean is a “hook-ups only” kind of dude who finds himself enraptured by Allie. Dean is dealing with some skeletons in his closet as well as figuring out what he wants to do with his life after college. The spicy scenes in this book are so fun and well-written. This book had me laughing out loud at parts and almost crying at others. I just feel so attached to these characters, and hope to get to more soon. This book, like the rest, has some triggering themes so be mindful before reading.
