Spook Street is a wonderfully plotted, sharply written story, with interesting characters solving problems in realistic ways. Entertaining thrills, unexpected espionage twists, and genuine human moments make the book a suburb read. This series keeps getting better. The author knows what he's doing and is not scared to take the traditional structure of a novel and turn it on its ear. This book will be season four of the Apple+ show and I can't wait!

Highly recommend it to fans of this genre - read the books and watch the show. Gary Oldman kills it as Jackson Lamb and his supporting cast is very talented. Thank you Mick Herron for not trying to imitate Ian Fleming or John Le Carre and infusing your original style into a wonderful series.

I picked this book up from a Little Free Library and was 100 pages in and then realized it’s the FOURTH book in a series. And I still loved it!!!! I’ve been seriously deprived of good thriller and crime-based novels and this one was so good! Carried by the characters and their witty dialogue which was genuinely funny. THE PLOT TWIST WAS CRAZY. ACTUALLY MULTIPLE PLOT TWISTS. They all got me. AND mind u it was the FOURTH book in a series and I still got sucked in.
