Ah Slough House never disappoints, and the Slow Horses are once again all over the map.
Best “Slow Horses” book yet
The fourth book in the Slough House series is, at least so far, my favorite of the series. There is a level of satire to these stories — this is the first book of the series where I've found myself actually laughing out loud — but there is also a very real sense of danger and suspense. You feel like any character in this book could be close to meeting his or her end, which only serves to ratchet up the tension.
The series as a whole is well worth your time. I wouldn't recommend this as a jumping on point, if only because I think the three books worth of storythat precedes this chapter only makes this book that much more fun to read.

Another enjoyable read by this author. I like how he combines the sad sack imagery of the put out to pasture agents, living out their hum drum existence at Slough House with the fermenting chances at making a real impact due more to happenstance more than anything else. Each one of the motley crew has their own way of contributing even if they didn't think they had it in them.
