An enjoyable read and the plot made a *bit* more sense than the TV series but still pretty ludicrous.

As always, Mick Herron writes a smart, fast-paced spy novel with a zillion threads and snappy action. I love his style, and so far, despite the same cast of characters (well, except when someone dies or someone gets relegated to Slough House), the series isn't bogging down.

Another great addition to the Slough House series. Mick Herron continues to develop as a writer and is, as always, wickedly funny. I think that Real Tigers was slightly better, especially with regard to the plot. Like Dead Lions, Spook Street requires a healthy dose of suspension of disbelief.

It was fun to delve further into River's background and develop his character. He has become an endearing character that is easy to root for. That is not to say that he does not have flaws. His, at times reckless, urge to do what is right is admirable.

Not a fan of Marcus' death. Slow Horse character deaths happen too often for a string of books in the Slough House series. Unfortunately, this trend continues into the next book as well.

Excellent except for some wildly improbable bits with Frank and River. A good installment in the series!
