a lowland gorilla teaches a human man the secret to saving the world. seriously this book is unlike anything i’ve ever read. there was almost no plot whatsoever, the dialogue is what made this book. the content is mainly philosophy and challenges our narrator (and by extension, all of us as readers) to view the world in totally new ways and to ask ourselves how and why we know what we know and think what we think. i loved this book, i devoured it in nearly one sitting. many of the points made in their conversations will stick with me forever. genuinely, i recommend this to all readers hungry for something more substantial and evocative that applies to their daily lives.
Moderate: Death, Religious bigotry, Xenophobia, and Classism
Minor: Violence and War
the warnings above summarize the topics discussed by characters in the book, not necessarily what is depicted in the book.
