As with the first book in the series, the suspense was non-stop from about 50% to the end. I have lost way too much sleep reading the first two books in this series, but I regret nothing. As much as I loved Holt & Wren in the first book, I might love Maddie & Nash even more. Can’t wait to move on to Grae’s story next and find out what really happened between her and Caden all those years ago.

Tropes:

Review:
Reread. Catherine Cowles books are always a joy to read. Echoes of you follows Nash and Maddie, two childhood best friends. When Maddie flees an abusive boyfriend, Nash steps in to protect her, and in the process the bond between the two of them is forever changed.
What can I say about this? Its suspenseful. It has a who did this to you trope. Its freaking amazing.

Nash has to be one of my favorite mmc’s that I have read this year! This book would be perfect if it didn’t have so many mysteries and plots happening at the same time. I wanted more Nash and Maddie scenes, but understand that Catherine was probably trying to set up the characters for the later books in the series!
Graphic: Emotional abuse, Medical content, Violence, Child abuse, Domestic abuse, Gaslighting, Injury/Injury detail, Physical abuse, and Stalking
Moderate: Sexual content
Minor: Blood, Kidnapping, Murder, and Gun violence
