Finally an audiobook I didn't need to speed up while listening!
Lauren narrating this made it all that much better.

This, to me, was in the same camp as Amy Poehler's book. I respect these women - both are not only successful actresses, but also writers and producers (in Graham's case, add novelist). However, both of their books were similar: a series of ramblings that were mostly "look at all of the cool stuff I did!" with a few attempts at deeper correlations. I still learned a lot; the parts I enjoyed most were about Graham's life as a student studying acting. I think the book is written mostly for Gilmore Girl fans, of which I secretly am one, but even that left much to be desired - as she noted, she's not going to offer anything salacious, and there isn't anything I wouldn't have guessed. Just everyone is "wonderful" and it was so "so fun" and the boys are hunky. I thought her idea to go back over and offer season highlights was clever, but I'd rather hear more about discussions or decisions behind the scenes than the fashion commentary...I skipped the last chapter because I'm not yet to "A Year in the Life", but maybe that will sell it for me!
Loved it :) Funny, light, full of Gilmore Girls filming tid bits :)
I'm a sucker for autobiographies and memoirs, especially when I can get a sense of the author's voice. This book did it for me!
The pace was great (it only took an afternoon), and the humor was perfect. I caught myself chuckling every few pages, and I really appreciate it!

I *really* wanted to like this more, but it just wasn’t captivating for me.
3.5... I'm not much of a memoir person but I love Gilmore Girls so had to read this... most of the book was just ok. I did love the sections where she talked about what it was like on the set of Gilmore Girls.
I'm not usually drawn to memoirs/biographies, but I wanted to check this out since I've been on a Gilmore Girls binge. I liked this book because it read the way that Lorelai speaks. It was fast-paced and witty. There definitely could have been more information (especially about her relationships with coworkers and comparisons between her characters v. her life), but it was a nice little peek in Lauren's world.
