“Crankshaft” by K.M. Neuhold was a really fun read! It is book one in the Big Bull Mechanics series. It was great seeing cameos from some of the Four Bears Construction crew. It was also really nice to see Porter finally meet his match.

Porter and Steele are both extremely busy business owners. Steele owns a local garage and Porter has recently taken over owning a veterinary clinic in town. Neither thinks they have time for a relationship. Also, in the past, Steele found all kinds of reasons to break up with his boyfriends. It’s lovely how these two gravitate towards one another. It was also really sweet to see Porter take care of Steele, since Steele is usually the one taking care of everyone else. Steele’s steadfastness once he realizes that there’s nothing that’s a dealbreaker about Porter is super sweet.

I really appreciated the support that the MCs (and their extended family) gave one another in this book. There’s lots of heart and heat to accompany Neuhold’s witty dialogue. Shoutout to Steele’s silver shorts! IYKYK.

I’m looking forward to book two in the Big Bull Mechanics series, out this September!

Like many of Neuhold’s other books, “Crankshaft” is the perfect mix of sweet, funny and steamy - and it’s a really strong start to the new series Big Bull Mechanics!

Porter and Steele’s story is low angst, and more of a slow burn romance since life keeps getting in their way. Neither of them have time for a relationship, both being business owners and having other struggles and commitments, but their chemistry is off the charts and feelings slowly develop between them.

Neither I nor Porter knew how much we needed a possessive, growly and hot mechanic in our lives. I'm thrilled that Porter found his man even if it took some drinks, time and a traffic accident to get them together. I mean, who even remembers grey sweatpants when there’s a tall, bearded and beastly mechanic wearing silver shorts?

It’s a book full of sweet moments that made me all giddy and smiley - and there were some seriously steamy scenes as well. The size difference, Porter being all toppy despite being smaller, Steele being all possessive and growly, and the fact that both of them excelled at dirty talk was just hot as hell.

I loved that both new and older characters appeared and it was so good to see some of the crew from Four Bears Constructions again. The connections and friendships were so wholesome and I can’t wait for more of these sweet mechanics to find their partners!

We met briefly with Steele and Porter in the Four Bears Construction series, and I'm delighted that the Big Bull Mechanics get their own!

Steele and Porter are very sweet together. Juggling similar responsibilities, neither have time for a relationship, nor do they seem to want one. But they keep finding themselves drawn to each other, and in a bit of a roundabout way, supporting each other.

I love their relationship. They navigate their relationship slowly, and build a solid foundation based on honesty and communication. They're open about their needs and wants, and really just start to naturally fit into each other's lives.

Honestly, I just love it all so much.

I'm so smitten with Steele and Porter. I'm already hopelessly in love with this entire series. I can't wait to see what else is in store for our Big Bul Mechanics.
