I came across this while waiting for copies of the books for the group I moderate to be available, and looking for something to read in the meantime. It is a thoroughly enjoyable read - intelligent, funny, poetic - and I am baffled why this talented, rewarding writer is not more well known.
Edit - bit of research shows he is a successful play and screen writer, his successes include 'The Pianist', Oscar nominations and he has a CBE. Oops. I am very pleased though that what I thought was overlooked talent is actually rightly recognised and rewarded. So glad that I've come across his writing.
