There were a couple sections at the end that just made me swoon. Magda is an interesting and complex character who you end up caring about.
I felt that she compared Judy to Sara a little too much, but overall Judy and Magda seemed to have a good relationship at the end.
I enjoyed her journey, and while this wasn't exactly what I expected, I loved the elder queer representation and how older people may navigate coming into themselves. I appreciated the navigation of Magda's grief as well.

This book is probably not everyone’s cup of tea, but I can’t remember the last time a book spoke so deeply to me.

not at all what i expected from the description (not a bad thing!). while i enjoyed certain aspects of the book, overall it felt lacking to me. the plot itself isn’t very prominent; i think the intent was to be more character-driven, but i felt that the characters were too flat to really create a compelling story.
