This was more than how to choose, wear, and love lingerie. I learned a condensed version about women undergarments and how technology has changed since the beginning. Informative and a browsable read.
A very informative reference for all things lingerie, from history to fit. It’s inclusive of many different life situations, which is my favorite part about it. However it is a bit dry. I would’ve loved more of her own stories/feelings to add color.
This was very informational and actually pretty cool tips and tricks I didn't know.

I have been following Cora for a couple of years and when she announced her book i had to buy it, for showing support and learning more about lingerie. It took a while to get my hands on this book, but now that its here it was well worth the wait.
The book covers the history of lingerie, body and breast shapes, fabrics, materials, laundry tips, bras but also knickers, tights, gowns and everything inbetween.
This book will help me (and hopefully others aswell) make better purchases in the future.

I felt this, despite the brevity, was a thorough and informative overview, replete with positivity and beautiful pastel decorations.
This is an incredibly straightforward and readable introduction to lingerie, beautifully illustrated with watercolor examples. I’ve been a follower of Cora Harrington and The Lingerie Addict for several years and I still learned a bunch. I especially enjoyed the historical sections.
I am not a woman, and I don't wear women's lingerie, and I don't have sufficiently intimate relationships with any women to buy them underwear, either. Despite this, I still really enjoyed this book.
First off, it's just a beautiful physical object in its own right - a substantial but not heavy hard cover, with lovely illustrations and a ribbon place marker.
Secondly, I read this because I already follow Cora Harrington on her site and on Twitter, and I appreciate the very even keel to how she writes. There's a balance between ideology and practicality I love, as well as an attention to detail and an incorporation of historical context.
If you already know a lot about lingerie, this book likely won't have much new to offer you - it's fairly basic (even I already knew a lot of the information, from having read her site). However, if you're looking to contextualize what you already know, or have a limited lingerie wardrobe, or just want to know more about the subject - you cannot go wrong.
