The development of Hades and Persephone’s story felt redundant I was more interested in Dionyses and his storyline than the main one. Hades and Persephone was a series of graphic sex, no communication, only to be grumpy/hurt and for it to be “fixed” with sex.
When graphic takes place in every chapter, it gets somewhat old.
Pass for me

Book : A Game of Gods
Author : Scarlett St. Clair
Pub Date: 25 July 2023
Thank you NetGalley, Sourcebooks Bloom Books & the author for the opportunity to read and review this book.
The things that exited me and I loved so much about this book :
- Multiple POV
- Just the right amount of spice
- The characters and world building was perfection
- Fated mates
I loved everything about this book. I adore Scarlett’s writing and books so I knew that this story was going to be yet another one that I couldn’t get enough of. We follow Hades & Persephone through this one and they sure didn’t disappoint. I loved following their story though this book.
This book was definitely a page turner all the way to the end. I can’t wait until the next book to see what is going to happen next. If you enjoy the things listed above please do not hesitate to add this book to your TBR.
I definitely will be purchasing a physical copy of this book and I’d love to get my hands on an audiobook of this!!!

I really struggled with this one, not because it was bad (ruin 👀) but because it was so uninteresting. The majority of the booked felt like a word for word rehash of malice.
The portions of the book that were new, particularly Dionysus' POV, felt slightly out of place, though they were arguably the most enjoyable aspects of the book.

Minor: Sexual violence and Emotional abuse
