I think this was a great summer romance, perfect to read this time of year. The two main characters had great chemistry and I wanted to see where they ended up. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to pick up more by Carley Fortune.

Great then and now POV. I love seeing how Will and Fern matured over time and that they ended up exactly where they were supposed to be.

This book was slow moving and really didn’t offer much. I found the main character’s mother the most lovable character- and she was dead.
The book ends quickly, like the author had a deadline or ran out of pages. It was a disappointment.
Two stars for the lake vibes!

I didn’t think I would enjoy this book as much as I did when I read the synopsis. Love the slow burn and the yearning that Carley Fortune writes with her characters.

I wish we had gotten more development with regards to Maggie’s story. The ending to her love story was so sad 😭

I appreciate the mention t mental health and how Carley shows that it is not a hindrance to being a good parent. Despite this, I felt like the book lacked more development. It left me feeling like I could’ve had more.
