My favorite of the series so far!

I loved the plot lines involving the auxiliary characters in this one. Gem and Kynan's story unfolds in between the action of Wraith and Serena's journey. Lots of action and steamy scenes with the backdrop of relic hunting and looming Armageddon. It was right up my alley! Now I want to learn more about Lore!

This was a great, "what to do, what to do?" moment for Wraith. At first it was only him he had to think about, then the hospital and later even the hospital and world. It wraps up the trio and some side characters but she manages to throw a new one in so that the next book can be written. Wraith finally connects with someone other than his brothers and it isn't even through sex though he wouldn't mind a bit of that too. It gets there as these are very erotic for PNR. Of course they are incubus demons. Still there is a great UF plot going on here and this one involves a lot of the future characters like Reaver.

I listened to the audiobook on reread and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Renee Raudman narrates this one. The last narrator, Hillary Huber, doesn't have a very good Wraith voice. It actually was a bit irritating in Shade's story. So far the books all have different narrators and looking ahead, this is the only one that Renee did. She did this as well as she does her others, she is very good.

I liked Wraith. I think it is because I have a thing for the bad guys. It is great to see him overcome all of his fears.

It took a little while for the book to grab me and pull me into it's pages. The world Larissa Ione builds is an interesting one but not having read the first two books of this series, I felt overwhelmed at the beginning with all the different species to sort through. But once I got past all that, I enjoyed the actually story unfolding. I would strongly suggest to read through the Glossary and the Compendium, located in the front and back respectively if you are new to the series.
The book is about Serena Kelley, a human charmed by angels, and Wraith a Seminus demon, and the end of the world as they know it. Wraith is poisoned by an assassin. His only hope of living is to seduce Serena and steal her charm. Serena, a virgin, was bitten by a demon as a child is she gives up her virginity she will die. The charm is the only thing keeping her alive.
I would have rated this story a 4 star if I hadn't had such a hard time getting past all the demonology at the onset. As with any series my strongest advise is to start at the beginning.

This is the book I've been waiting for since I started this series. I absolutely adore Wraith. His whole demeanor just oozes self-confidence and bad boy attitude. He has only a couple of rules when it comes to satisfying his Seminist needs, and this book is going to have him breaking rules. He gets really stuck between a rock and a hard place when he must break one of his rules to save his brothers, or break a different rule to save the world.

I think Wraith and Serena are perfect for each other! Their occupations are very similar and the adventure outside of the romance has them working together for a common goal. Even though they may not know quite all of the story. I did have some really sad moments for Serena when she has so much revealed to her all at once, but the whole gang comes together to battle the bad guy which in a way also helps Serena.

Another thing I loved was that a line of romance plot I'd been anxious to see about, and that I thought would probably get it's own book, gets wrapped up in this story as well. So you don't only get the excitement of the war, and the romance and wooing (is that still a word or did it go out of style?) of Wraith and Serena, but this other couple has a resolution (I least I think it is a resolution) to their situation. There is also an introduction to another character and I can't wait to see where we go with him.

I loved this book. The narration was great, and I was so into the story I still get choked up about it! Major things happening here folks, don't miss it!

Not as great as the first two, and I thought it was going to be way better because I always like the baddest boy. But with few exceptions there was no "bad boy" behavior. It was like after the poison dart, Wraith's character became different, less caustic and more like Eidolon.

I did like the ending, the whole Wraith saves the world thing, which is very ironic. And I like how he and Serena managed to live happily ever after. ( Iam not giving anything away, these books always end with happily ever after, but its the way it happens that makes it cool).

I liked Wraith in the other books. When he got his own, he became kinda boring. Doesn't help that the whole time he was being called Josh. He and Serena were by-the-numbers-on-the run. I found myself skimming sometimes. Kynan and Gem's tortured romance and all the other stuff surrounding the main characters redeemed the book a bit for me.

I did make a bet with myself, though to figure out how Serena gets over the whole being human problem. So far in the series each Demon brother has fallen in love with a Human. But so far each human female has somehow been made superhuman by the time the book ends. Tayla is *surprise* half demon, Runa got bitten by a werewolf and becomes a werewolf, so I figured there was no way Serena would be remain human. And Bingo. My guess on what happens to get over the pesky human thing turns out to be 100% correct. And it just doesn't happen to the women. Kynan (human male)falls in love with Gem(Demon woman) so I also had a side bet that Kynan would be made special too. And Bingo again!

Eh. I'll probably read the next one, the writing is nice, but each book has a pretty predictable pattern so far.

My favorite book of the series so far, although "Pleasure Unbound" is a close second.

First, the characters of this book are battling Armageddon, the stakes have really gone up compared to the previous book, and the suspense/action plot is written really well. It made me think there couldn't be anything cooler than fighting for saving the world while generally I don't like Armageddon plots in books, because they usually make a mockery out of religion and there's more melodrama than in a soap opera. But despite the looming end of the world in this book, it managed to keep the cool tone of the Demonica world and to really suck you in and make you invested in the outcome of the battle and in the fates of all the characters.

Also, Wraith is maybe my favorite of the brothers although I love Shade and Eidolon too. In this book Wraith really confronts his demons and grows to accept his emotions, his family ties, his friendships, his love for Serena while previously he always though of himself as selfish and uncaring bastard. I adored every scene with him - both his tenderness and melting heart with Serena and his bad ass attitude in battles.

Serena was a really compelling character, too - haunted and lonely on one side, but also with an adventurous spirit and open heart. I like how she confronts every problem head-on and how her love was really sincere and giving even after discovering Wraith's deceptions.
