I received an electronic copy in a Good Reads giveaway in exchange for an honest review. Joanna Miller's debut novel follows four women who were among the first women to matriculate at Oxford in 1920. The plot was engrossing and I enjoyed reading about the friendships that developed among the women. The book was well-researched and I loved learning about a time in England that I didn't know a lot about. It was well-written and the plot moved along at a good pace. I will definitely be looking forward to the author's next work.

This book was like a long meandering walk in the 1920s. I appreciated learning more about Oxford, the different colleges within it, and the history of women attending. I thought the first half was too long with no real plot, but the second half picked up more and made for an entertaining read. Makes me want to walk around Oxford and see all the places Joanna Miller talks about!
