Was obsessed with this series as a kid and in a bout of nostalgia re-read the first one with my husband while in the airport. It started out quite cheesy and overly expository, but beyond the first chapter I felt it left that behind and was a fun time. Obviously it's for kids but I still love it 💛

Really good fun! I would have loved these so much when I was younger.

When I was younger I absolutely ADORED these books.
Now, I can't actually remember how many of them I've read.
My best friend and I would read these every chance we got. We'd read them together. Or I'd read one, then loan it to her and vice versa.
I remember being a little miffed when she got a copy of The Andalite Chronicles and she'd read a few chapters, and then she let me read some, but told me I wasn't allowed to read further than she had. But I did anyway and she found out and got annoyed. I'm a fast reader - what can I say?
We even wrote our own fan fiction, without actually knowing that's what it was at the time. And that's pretty much how I got into writing. Reading these books made me use my imagination and create characters. Ever since I've kept notebooks full of half-written stories.
Anyway. I've given this book 5 out of 5 stars. It was the first, so it's the best.
