Oof send this one to r/menwriting women... some really good i.agery, really intriguing premise, but the achronological structure and sheer vapidity of the main character made it feel like the author didn't care about anyone he was writing about unless he could make them a sexy mysterious woman (ironically, the most interesting character).

I'm curious how much the long sentences are the author's own and how much are due to translation. I never fully love a novel about writers, but so much of his book is lush and beautiful that it would be churlish to complain.
