My thoughts on The Proposal Play by Lauren Blakely
Thank you, Lauren Blakely and HambrightPR, for both the e-ARC & ALC copy! All opinions in this review are my own!
Book rating – 5⭐ | Audio rating – 5⭐
This was my first introduction to Lauren Blakely's work, and I must say that she really knocked it out of the park, in my opinion. Though this is book 3 in Lauren's 'Love and Hockey' series, I still had an enjoyable experience even though I didn't read the other books.
I absolutely enjoyed the dual narration that Vanessa Edwin and Robert Hatchet performed in The Proposal Play. They did an outstanding job in bringing the characters Maeve & Asher to life. Moreover, the conversations and banter brought forward by these characters feel very much realistic of what young adults go through. Lauren Blakely also knows how to slowly introduce the spice between our main protagonists and the narrators; they did an amazing job bringing that heat to the audiobook as well.
I do intend to read the rest of the 'Love and Hockey' series and listen to them via audio, as I'm sure I'll be hooked like this one as well.
