"You are my k*nk"

This series truly just keeps getting better! I have loved it from the very start! Lauren has done such an incredible job getting us to fall in love with these characters with the most perfect storylines! Lauren Blakely's writing is becoming a favorite of mine. She always does such a great job of giving us sensitive characters or topics but puts the perfect quirky and witty spin on it! And this book was a great example of that! Much like the rest of this series.

I absolutely LOVED Maeve and Asher's relationship! From the very beginning! I'm a sucker for best friends to lovers. It's one of my top tropes. And Lauren didn't disappoint. These two were absolutely adorable together with the perfect amount of angst! Which is my favorite part of a friends to lovers romance! Bring on the angst!!

Ugh, a marriage of convenience friends-to-lovers? Loved these two and the way they found their way to each other on the foundation of their friendship.

Such a cute and fun hockey romance. It's a best friends to lovers, and the story and connection is just so real and genuine that the entire romance feels real. The spice was perfect, the mental health representation was incredibly presented and handled so well, and such beautiful banter! Such a fun and quick read.

Thank you so much to Lauren Blakely for this arc in exchange for my honest review!

4.5⭐️ “Love lesson: Tell her you love her often. Tell her every day. Tell her as soon as you can.”

Thank you Lauren Blakely for an ARC of The Proposal Play. Maeve and Asher’s story was SO sweet. It is book three in the Love and Hockey series and even being the first book I’ve read, I wasn’t lost while reading nor did it spoil any of the previous books for me. This is a best friends to lovers, hockey romance with a marriage pact, a spontaneous Vegas wedding, and some fake-dating/marriage thrown into the mix. He cooks for her. She paints for him. There are spicy lessons. And toy play. And pole-dancing

Lost interest in the story. Too much smut

This is a story told through a dual pov of Meave and Asher, who’ve been friends for years. Asher, a famous hockey player, and Meave, his friend since they met at grief counselling at an auction, find themselves in a fake marriage after Meave saves him from disaster. It is intriguing to see the feelings both of these have for each other grow from their new forced proximity by living together. I loved seeing how Meave can be so naive and how much Asher cares about her. There are some subtler, spicy moments that take the fake marriage to another level, inviting more feelings that make you blush. But what I truly appreciated was how much this book represented the importance of maintaining good mental and physical health and the struggles that often accompany this.
