Audio/Ebook Review: The Proposal Play (Love and Hockey) by Lauren Blakely, Narrated by Vanessa Edwin and Robert Hatchet
The Proposal Play brings a sweetness that has slowly disappeared from romance. Blakely never loses sight of the connection between Asher and Maeve. That interaction makes for a charming blend of tempestuous attraction and heartfelt romance that bleeds over into Edwin and Hatchet's narration. Every emotion speaks to the soul and tickles the funny bone along the way. How could anyone not fall in love with these characters?

If I had taken a drink every time the MCs called each other “husband” and “wife” at the end of a sentence, I would’ve given myself alcohol poisoning by halfway through

The Proposal is book 3 in the Love and Hockey series but it can be read as a standalone. This book has all the fun hockey vibes with the brother’s best friend, married in Vegas. Maeve helps Asher out at a charity auction. What they didn’t expect was a wild night in Vegas that ended up with them getting married. When they realize that they have to stay married for longer than they thought, they end up spending a lot of time together and really getting to know each other. I loved how they had to navigate from being friends to this fake marriage but then having to add in their feelings for each other.
This was narrated in duet with Robert Hatchet & Vanessa Edwin. They are truly phenomenal narrators, delivering a performance that was nothing short of extraordinary!
