I really only read this author’s books because they’re unserious and lighthearted and sometimes you just need very mid books to read. She’s not the best writer in my opinion and so I my expectations are never too high. I do like this series of books and I really liked the Proposal Play.
I think the summary implied that their accidental marriage was a drunken decision while in Vegas and it wasn’t and I’ll be honest I was a little annoyed by that. But on the plus side, you actually saw the entire Vegas storyline, unlike most other stories where people get drunkenly married it always begins with them waking up discovering the rings on their fingers and then freaking out. This was not that plot and overall it was a very good plot and fun to see the relationship not necessarily change, but turn into a romantic love.

The writing in these books are actually horrible and I feel like a teenager reading them but they're so fun to read, I can't stop.

Forever grateful to have come across this book!! This one was so good!
I love hockey romances but this was just did a one up on all other books in the trope. The characters slayyy!! The romance is such a good burn. 🌶️🤌🥵 the plot is predictable but nevertheless very enjoyable.
It’s a 11 on 10 ✨

Book 3 of the Love and Hockey series!
I absolutely adore Asher and Maeve’s friendship! It started with a bond forged through grief and grew into that effortless, no-judgment kind of friendship where you’re just there for each other, ripped dresses, auction events, and all. The ultimate “come as you are” vibe. Until, well... it wasn’t.
Their banter? A constant theme in any Lauren Blakely book as always, was tops! I was living for it!
But then they started noticing things about each other. Things that were definitely not “just friends” territory that all came from a marriage pact made two years ago, a vest that looks delish on Maeve and a few glasses of Lemonade Affair in Sin City!
